In
1981, Don Blackerby established SUCCESS SKILLS, a 
training
and consulting firm in Oklahoma, USA. He established SUCCESS
SKILLS in order to allow him to expand Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) into new applications such as the learning
process, peak performance in sports, and helping struggling
students. Today, he is recognized as the foremost NLP authority
on Learning Disabilities, including Attention Deficit Disorder.
Through SUCCESS SKILLS, Inc, he consults and conducts seminars
and workshops with schools, businesses, and agencies in topics
such as: Health and Healing Applications, Leadership and Empowerment
Skills, Enhancing Memory Techniques, and various topics related
to Personal and Professional Communications.
One of Dr. Blackerby's specialities is working with under-achieving
students of all levels and ages. He works privately with them
in two primary areas: teaching them how to learn and in positively
affecting their attitude about school and learning. He also
works with students with learning disabilities including Attention
Deficit Disorder or ADD.
Dr. Blackerby has been in education at varied levels for
over 30 years. He has taught at the high school and college
level, has been a college dean, and served on the staff of
The Oklahoma State Regents of Higher Education. He also was
elected to serve on the Putnam City School Board in Northwest
Oklahoma City.
He received his BS and MS in Math Education from Oklahoma
State University and his Ph.D. in the Management of Higher
Education Systems from the University of Oklahoma. He has
had extensive additional training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming
(NLP), Gestalt Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Chemical
Dependency Counseling. Dr. Blackerby is available for private

Don is not a psychologist, psychiatrist, or medical doctor,
he is an educator who is certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
and practices as a Personal Development and Academic Coach.
On a spiritual path he is an ordained minister and registered in
the State of Oklahoma.
