It is report card time and also time for parent/teacher conferences. Is your child or grandchild doing as well as they can in school? Have you ever realized that our schools do not ever get around to teaching children HOW TO LEARN in the classroom. The students are left to their own devices as to HOW to do the academic tasks that are assigned to them. Learning in the classroom is not natural or genetic, it must be taught. And, the children are the victims when this does not happen. This omission on the part of our schools has reverberations on into high school and college and even into corporate America.

If your child or grandchild struggles in school, consider using our services. We are not your normal tutoring service, which teaches subject matter like math, geography, history, etc. We specialize in teaching students HOW to learn and think. We also specialize in positively affecting attitude in students who are bored or turned off of school. We do this with students of all ages who under-achieve as well as those who have learning disabilities such as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Dyslexia. We even help college students and graduate students as well as adults who want to go back to school or who want to prepare themselves for promotions or new jobs.

They have been highly trained in the “Rediscover the Joy of Learning” processes and skills. Ask about their availability, fees and experience and then if you are satisfied with them, schedule a SN. They will transform your child’s or grandchild’s life.

If you want me, Don Blackerby, to help your child or grandchild, I follow the following process. I offer an assessment session, which will take approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours (If you live a great distance from me, I may do this on the phone). At the end of this session, you will know exactly what is causing your child to have trouble in school and what they will need to succeed in school. The fee for the assessment session is $95.00 US funds.

I will tell you specifically what I will teach your child so they can perform better in school. I charge a flat rate fee of $1495.00 for this service. The length of time it will take will vary according to their individual needs. I can give you a more precise prediction of time after the assessment SN. Our results are phenomenal! I cannot even remember a time when I have not significantly helped a student. If you are close by within driving distance and once you sign up, I usually arrange sessions once a week based upon our mutual schedules. If you live a long ways away, I will block out about 2 days and work with your child exclusively during that time.

In the past I have had parents from all over the United States and Canada bring their children to me for help. And, I so much enjoy working with students and it is SSSOOO gratifying. I usually can completely transform a student’s life in less than two days if they come from afar or 6-8 sessions if they are local. These are students of all ages—elementary age through college students and including adults in the work place or adults who want to go back to school. I don’t care if they have learning disabilities such as Dyslexia or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or if they are “at risk” or “high challenge” or “troubled youth” I can help them.
